WXY’s Extremely Unlikely but Totally Brilliant Brand Collaborations: Lilt x Visit Blackpool
If you’re looking for an under-appreciated drinks brand with untapped potential, look no further than Lilt.
Big in the 80s and 90s but now only appearing on social media as people snap a pic of the can and declare, “Didn’t know Lilt was still a thing!” - this Coca-Cola brand could do with a little love.
From a town synonymous with soft drink brands, thanks to the Pepsi Max Big One, Tango Ice Blast drop tower and the previously named Irn Bru Revolution – relaunching a soft drink in Blackpool is almost a pilgrimage point.
WXY = Lilt + Visit Blackpool
Under the strap-line “Lilt up Blackpool”, we would relaunch the totally tropical drink in a town that evokes nostalgia.
The hero creative would be front and centre and based in Blackpool, showcasing Lilt to the rest of the UK.
Blackpool tower is no stranger to brand-sponsored activity, and the northern England seaside town is well known for being lit up during the Illuminations – a must-do for any kid growing up in the north-west (and beyond)!
Also, sponsoring one of the rides on Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a must – we nominate the Icon roller coaster!
